Swedish designer Estrid Ericson (1894-1981) graduated as a drawing teacher from the Technical School in Stockholm in 1918. She worked for Svensk Hemslöjd and for the interior decoration company Wikman and Wiklund before she founded the renowned design company Svenskt Tenn (Swedish Pewter) in 1924 together with Nils Fougstedt, who was specialized in working with pewter. Ericson headed the company, that remains active today, until 1978.
