Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) is one of the Danish 20th Century designers who took a more playful and expressive approach to furniture design. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1945 and collaborated throughout his career with a number of Danish and international cabinetmakers and manufacturers. Inspired by Finn Juhl’s sculptural works Kofod-Larsen is known for his organic designs which conjoin beauty and elegance with ergonomic considerations.
