Karen Mundt Clemmensen (1917-2001) and Ebbe Thejll Clemmensen (1917-2003) were both trained architects. The couple married in 1939 and having both worked for acknowledged architects such as Kaj Gottlob and Frits Schlegel, they finally joined forces in 1945 when they established their own studio. They were renowned for their iconic architecture, but their work also extended into furniture and textile design, and they arranged numerous exhibitions within the field of arts and crafts.
