Mogens Koch (1898-1992) is regarded as one of the heirs to the influential architect and furniture designer Professor Kaare Klint. Koch graduated from the School of Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1925. His output as a furniture designer is not large as his designs always came out of a given task – created for a specific purpose – but all his works are significant. They possess a practical beauty, a naturalness and universal usability, giving them a status of timeless, functional classics.
